The OCTOGROW hydroponic system uses the subsurface irrigation method to automatically keep plants watered for up to two weeks without pumps, timers or electricity and without plants having their roots submerged in water. How does it work??? The pots are separated from the watering tray by a feeding tray. The plants will absorb the nutrient solution through the SmartMat without having the soil and roots in contact with the watering solution. A float valve regulates the level of the nutrient solution.
