Ice water extraction, also known as the ice-o-lator technique, is the process of removing trichomes from cannabis buds using ice and water. The frozen material is processed through an extractor or washer with ice and water. As you swirl the plant matter in the cold water, the trichomes (also known as resin) separate and fall to the bottom . This extraction method is considered among the purest, as it does not use solvents and does not involve the use of high temperatures.
